CHRISTOPHER HIRD

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Christo is the founder and managing director of Dartmouth Films, which has pioneered new ways of funding and distributing documentaries in the UK - from dream to distribution. Among the films which he has executive produced are: The End of the Line (2009), The Flaw (2011), Fire in the Blood (2012) – all shown at the Sundance Film Festival; McCullin (2013), which was nominated for two BAFTAs; Death of a Gentleman (2015), The Divide (2016) – both of which were acquired by Netflix and A Cambodian Spring (2018), winner of the Special Jury Prize at HotDocs. Dartmouth’s distribution in the UK of James Redford’s film Resilience (2017) has been one of the most successful examples of an audience engagement in a specialist documentary in recent years.
